A Sneak Peek of New Child Care Center in Ord

Families and community members had the opportunity to take a sneak peak of the future site for Linda’s Preschool & After School Program on August 8, 2022 at the new location on the east edge of Ord.

The expansion project has been greatly anticipated within the community as it will increase child care capacity by at least 60 spots, if not more (they are currently licensed for 40 children). Once the new facility is completed, Linda’s Preschool will be able to accept infants (ages 0-18 months) and continue offering care to even more toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children. The new facility will offer separate classrooms for each age group as well as age-appropriate playgrounds along with a common area that will offer additional space for activities and meals.

Electrical, HVAC and plumbing are currently in the works and the new facility is scheduled to open this fall. While families in need of child care patiently await the grand opening, the teachers at Linda’s Preschool are just as eager to see walls come up and to make the visions for their classrooms come to life.

When visiting with Linda Horner, owner of Linda’s Preschool, and her staff about the expansion, it is clear their passion for early childhood education and providing safe and welcoming spaces for children to learn and grow always has been, and will continue to be, a top priority. The new facility will simply enable them to continue to offer their services to even more children.

Families interested in enrolling their child(ren) in Linda’s Preschool can call (308) 728-9958 or send them a message on their Facebook page. Linda’s Preschool is also hiring for several positions including Infant Lead, Infant Assistants (2), Toddler 1 Assistant, Toddler 2 Assistant, Kitchen Head, Kitchen Assistant, Office Assistant and Part-Time Floaters.
