LVCI Offers Outreach & Impacts for Nearly Two Years

For nearly two years the Loup Valley Childhood Initiative (LVCI) Core Team has been providing technical support, resource information and training opportunities for childcare providers in the Valley County area. The ability to do so comes from the financial and technical support of the Nebraska Children & Families Foundation, an entity that supports children, young adults, and families with the overall goal of giving our state's kids what they need to thrive.

Additionally, the LVCI Core Team has been assessing the childcare landscape in terms of the local gap number (i.e. the number of children ages 0-5 in our community who are not in licensed childcare and have all available parents in the workforce) following closures, openings and expansions of private childcare businesses.

The timeline below illustrates the type of programs, outreach and impacts the LVCI Core Team has achieved to date.
